Music Makers is Evesham Baptist Church's parent and toddler group, which meets on Wednesday and Friday mornings during term time. In the space of 90 minutes we find time for free play, craft, refreshments, stories and music. Our group aims to provide a safe environment for children and carers alike to share and interact and most of all a time for songs, laughter and lots of fun!
Through the year we hold other special events for Music Makers families. One of these events is ‘Who let the Dads out?', where we hold one of our Music Makers sessions on a Saturday morning especially for dads to bring their little ones along to. Bacon and sausage baps and newspapers, coupled with time and space with their child(ren) seems to be a winning combination.
During the summer term we hold a Teddy Bears Picnic in the garden of one of our church members. This is an event for the whole family, older siblings too. Everyone comes along with their teddy and a picnic and we have music, stories, bear hunts and a teddy doctor!
At Christmas time Music Makers families help with our Bearing Gifts initiative, which helps local families for whom Christmas is a struggle. This year was no exception; the generosity of all continues to astound. We were able to help 24 families, including 52 children, and made up 22 food hampers.
