Reflecting
and responding...
Reflecting
on the Way of Jesus
Responding: as a disciple, seeking to walk in the Way of
Jesus.
- Jesus accepts the way of the Kingdom of God
-
Repentance - accepting
Lordship...authority...
-
Accepting the authority of God
-
Accepting the simplicity
of: ‘Love God with all your heart, soul,
mind and strength and love your neighbour as you love yourself.'
-
Accepting the way of: ‘love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.'
- Jesus accepts the presence of the Holy Spirit
-
The Holy Spirit 'lights on
Jesus'
-
'rests' on Him
"Come to me, all you
who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest
for your souls. For my yoke is easy and
my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
- Jesus accepts the affirmation of His Father
-
The strong anchor: ‘this is my
Son'
-
The dependable relationship:
‘whom I love.'
-
The pleasure of God: ‘I am well
pleased.'

What will be our response today?
