The Return of Jesus

1. IS JESUS RETURNING?
   • Yes. He was clear about this
   • Jesus spoke in terms of when it happens, not if it happens.
2. WHEN WILL JESUS RETURN?
   • We don't know...

   "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36

3. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HIS RETURN?
   • To establish the Kingdom of God on earth

   "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, Matthew 25:31-32

   • To judge all humanity
     • to reveal the truth about who we are: motives and hearts will be revealed.
     • The extent to which what we know about Jesus and His Way has taken root and borne fruit in our lives.
   • To reward the faithful

   "After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them." Matthew 25:19

   ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Matthew 25:34

4. WHO ARE THE FAITHFUL?
   • Those who have begun to live 'in love'
   • Those who act with compassion
   • Those who have accept the Way of Jesus and seek to live in it.
